A notice from the Seattle Department of Transportation reminding motorists that 15th Ave W will be closed in both directions beginning Saturday night (Nov 22nd) at 9PM, re-opening Sunday AM by 7AM.

Here's their release:

Overnight closure of 15th Avenue W November 22-23

SDOT will close 15th Avenue W to all traffic between W Dravus Street and W Emerson Street at 9 PM on Saturday, November 22 in order to safely remove exterior falsework from the bridge. The closure will continue through 7 AM Sunday, November 23.

Originally, this work was to be done in sections with several partial closures, but a weekend, overnight closure will be a more efficient approach. This closure, when traffic is lightest, will ensure the safety of the public and workers while minimizing risks to the schedule.

The detour route will use 20th Ave W and Gilman Avenue W between W Emerson Street and West Dravus. Click here to view a downloadable detour map. King County Metro busses will be detoured to 14th Avenue W. Please visit metro.kingcounty.gov/alerts for more information.

Uniformed police officers will be stationed at the intersections of 15th Avenue W with W Dravus Street and W Emerson Street to help direct the flow of traffic during the closure.
